Surf Yoga

Surf and yoga are somehow the opposite poles but get along very well with each other. Surf is colder in temperature, abrupt in some movements and emotionally stressful, specially as a beginner. Yoga is slow, rhythmic, warm and calm. But they are both very intense and need full presence and concentration in the execution.

 

Try yoga before surfing as a physical warming up and a mental preparation. And also after surfing to relax and take more benefits from your resting time. When practising yoga you stretch your muscles, gain resistance, increase the capacity of your lungs and improve your surfing skills in balance and board control.
